We were there for 1 night with our two grandchildren and the hippopotamus pool was not up and operating and the other pool with the swim up bar was only 3 foot so you couldn’t really swim in that at all. Originally we were put in a room with two queen and a pull out sofa which was great but the pull out sofa did not work so we were moved to another room down the hall and in that room that morning by the grandma of these two children found one capsule and one pill laying openly on the carpet near the hide a bed. I did bring it to the attention of the hotel staff and they’re only response was I’m sorry. I would not recommend this hotel as everything was not in proper working order. Even the beautiful fountain that is shown on the website was not operating.Rooms: Housekeeping needs to be taught how to clean n sanitize a room. That may help.
This is the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed at! When we checked in the first room, they put us in was disgusting with brown stains on the comforter, greasy handprints on the headboard hairs everywhere disgusting. The floor had not been vacuumed. I called the front desk, and she immediately move it to another room which I quickly Regretted it was worse than the first room. The smell of mold almost took your breath away when you opened the door. I would not use the toilet until I had put gloves on and properly clean it myself and the paper towels were absolutely disgusting. When I was done we paid almost $250 a night in this room was absolutely unacceptable They should be ashamed of yourselves, and if you think you’re going to get a refund, even a penny you’re sadly mistaken, this place is a waste of space to please, the owner or the front desk, lady Amber don’t waste your time sending any reply to this because you’re a joke and you should be shut down
We had a memorable experience during our stay at Regalia Hotel. Rooms were extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. Outdoor pool and bar were fantastic with friendly staff, where adults can enjoy awesome cocktails, and mouthwatering burgers. The restaurant offers appetizing starters, palatable steak, fresh salads, sweet wines, and many other tasty foods with warm and respectful waitresses. If you are fond of brandy and cigars; their exclusive bar with unique decoration and cozy atmosphere would be your favorite spot. After all, the general manager of the hotel Mr. Mikki Moore is so hospitable and personable. Thank you so much for making our travel terrific.I highly recommend Regalia hotel to anyone who plans to travel to the lake of the Ozarks.Rooms: Super clean, spacious and modern
Full disclosure this review is only for the Hippopotamus Pool area. We did not stay at the resort, but their pool is open to the public. The pictures and video online paint a slightly different picture than the reality of the pool. First of all there is a grand total of about 10 lounge chairs at the the entire pool and the remaining white wicker chairs are half destroyed. There are zero umbrellas or shade unless you pay $25 per hour to rent a cabana (2 hour minimum), which we did since we planned to hang out there with our teenagers for a good portion of the day. The cabanas are a little rough to say the least. It would only take a few minutes of “labor” at each cabana to ensure they were guest ready, but apparently there is a labor shortage in this area. We cobbled together some furniture in one of the cabanas that actually had a roof by raiding the other empty cabanas. There were side curtains on most of the cabanas, but they were pretty janky and missing parts. No cushions on the wicker seating etc. The swim up bar was understaffed and the one bartender, while efficient, was not super pleasant (not sure I would be either if I had to manage that whole bar by myself). The food situation was sooo messed up. We ordered at the swim up bar and then had to pick up our food from a building on the pool deck. They only had one cook he kept the shutters closed so you couldn’t even tell when food was done. Overall, I’m glad the pool admission was free and REALLY glad we didn’t stay at the actual resort since I can’t imagine that is run any better.
ABSOLUTE WORST hotel I 've ever stayed at and I travel often. The staff are a mixture of random people who look rough around the edges and misfits. Walked in to our room after a 6.5hr drive to get there to blood stains all of the bedspreads and curtains..EWWWWW. Got moved to another room after I had to prove the blood was there to walk into the new room that smelled like old musty and mold. We all left with a stuffy nose that was likely because of smell in the hotel. Pool towels are given to you in your room. We had 2 adults and 3 kids but were only allowed 3 towels! No towels down at the pool AT ALL. The pool staff bartenders are rude AF and slow as hell. Also, The computers in the pool bar are not linked so good luck ordering a drink from a different bartender than the one you opened your tab with. Also, dont let the pics on here fool you, their are almost zero pool laydown chairs to lay on. Def not enough for the size of the pool and the people in it. The pool is supposed to open at 10am except the staff keeps it locked and closed becasue they clearly dont want to work and when you try to enter the question you as if you are from the outside public trying to use a pool that your not supposed to. We visited Mid July which the pool should be open at 8:00am for this time of year, we were finally let in at 10:22am after I had to fight and prove to the bartender that we were guests at the hotel! The gazebos are expensive to rent 300 for 4 hours is a joke! and they literally have a green tarp you would buy from Menards as the cover vs and actual gazebo cover. Inside pool looks like a condemned building with stains everywhere on the floor and walls. And we were scolded when we walked in to the inside pool area at 9:30 that they will close at 9:50pm and not a min later (with a nice attitude and eye roll). You would think they would have a nice breakfast for the size of the hotel, NOPE. Small little shop with 3 pastries to choose from and no where to sit to eat it. Literally not one table to sit at. And its extra . Oh and if you think you can ask for an extended check out for even just an hour, be ready for them to tell you NO. The parking is a joke. Literally have to walk a mile from where you park to the location of where you would enter for your room. Absolutely pissed I spent my 600 on this crappy hotel. I have pics of it all incase someone thinks this is not real. Don 't waste your money!
