Clarke's Restaurant Bar - Lake Oswego

This was a business meeting and served his purpose well. eating was excellent, fresh and classic Portland cuisine.

Let me first say that this is our favorite restaurant and we are here often. Unfortunately we had bad services tonight. I guess there was no manager at clarke during tonight's dinner (7-8pm). our server (a short-haired herr) was surprisingly uninterested to help us. When the food arrived, we saw him not only, but had to ask a busser for help. we have never been asked if we want a second drink or if we need something. when we asked our waiter what aromen of sorbet he had just served us, he replied: “I have no idea.” that was eating as usual top rule. we had the special dry ribbed eye and the risotto (its speciality). I will come back happy, but I encourage Clarke’s to manage their waiters if they want to keep their masters happy.

That was our first experience at clarke. we liked the layout/decor of the restaurant and eating was delicious. at the payment of $30 for a teller eat, plus $50 for a decent bottle of wine, we expected more ambiente and a higher experience. we had to ask when our wein is delivered to ask more water than our glasses were empty, and it took quite a long time to get our order or we were noticed. I don't know if this is typical of clarke 's, but as a 'fine dining' experience, I would rate it as a thorough. if they want to cook creative and fresh food perfectly, clarke 's will probably fulfill their expectations.

We have come to clarke for 20 years. we have always enjoyed excellent service and delicious eating. this evening meal was quite different. the waiter seemed to hurry, but the restaurant was only half full. we have placed our order, the meals came with taking one. the guests waited to enjoy their food and come the last teller. the waiter came out and whispered a guest he had forgotten to place his job. to avoid further delays, a simpler by-product was ordered. hamburger was so salty that it was not possible. when the guest pointed out that the waiter said, “If I have to get another one.” this would have an immediate offer and not something to put the gas in front of you. very unpleasant. not for a glass weeping or free dessert for the mistakes and insights. we have planned a business dinner for Wednesday night. not sure it is a solid idea.

We came here on a gift from our boss and we are so thankful! The menu was smaller but packed with incredible options. Everything tasted wonderful and came out quickly. It was a very sweet and cozy space and we can't wait to go back!
