Hitching Post - Lake Luzerne

As a local resident, I wanted to support a nearby business, but my experience was disappointing. The server was quite rude and openly complained about tips in front of us. Tips are not mandatory, so when one is given after minimal service, it should be appreciated. It felt like she was annoyed whenever we interacted with her. Perhaps she should consider a job that suits her better. The food was only mediocre for the price charged. I definitely do not recommend this place.

The food was average. The cheese boards looked fantastic, but the staff were not very friendly.

Exceptional cuisine paired with friendly, personalized service set in a beautifully preserved historic log cabin.

6 of us stopped in on our way through town, the service was amazing! A huge plus is that the restaurant and gift shop allows dogs. They even have a small dog-friendly food menu and my dog was able to eat, even with his dietary restriction: thank y’all!

Food was fine but portions were very small. Prices are ridiculous for the amount of food you receive. Very small glass of wine ? 12.00 dollars. First time I was there will not be back.
