Bistro Wasabi Lake In The Hills

I celebrated Mother's Day at this restaurant and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, the sushi was delicious, and the cosmos were fantastic!

Firstly, the oil used to fry the calamari clearly tasted burnt and old, which was a huge disappointment. The drink I had was extremely strong—it's hard to say whether that's a good or bad thing. Lastly, the water was unpalatable; it tasted like warm pond water and had a very unpleasant smell. Overall, considering the price, I was not satisfied at all. At one point, my girlfriend and I even considered leaving to get McDonald's instead, as this experience felt like a one-time deal. NEVER AGAIN.

For some reason, we were served our appetizers right away, but we waited probably 30 minutes or more for our sushi. The restaurant was not very busy, so I’m assuming there was a problem with food preparation. We did not see our server for that half-hour.

Very loud but I’m never disappointed with the food!
