Teriyaki Madness - Lake Forest

We really enjoy dining at this restaurant! Be sure to ask for the extra spicy sauce for an additional 75 cents - it has a wonderful kick to it!

I had always wanted to try out this restaurant, but I never found my way there until today when I happened to be next door needing a battery. I ordered a large portion of Teriyaki chicken with a request for light rice, which unfortunately was not fulfilled. There was too much sauce and not enough chicken. The quality was decent, but the portion size was off. While eating in the restaurant, I overheard the manager/owner discussing sales improvement strategies with a marketing person. I hope they don't mind me offering a suggestion from a customer's perspective: focus on increasing portion sizes to keep customers satisfied.

Alright, if a restaurant is trying to accommodate people with allergies, they should ensure that their staff is properly trained on the ingredients. I went to this restaurant to pick up food for a friend and noticed that the chicken teriyaki bowl had a gluten-free symbol. When I asked if the soy sauce in the teriyaki sauce was gluten-free, the staff member confidently stated that teriyaki sauce is always gluten-free. I informed them that they were mistaken, but they insisted that it was fine. I took the bowl home but still had doubts, so I called another location to double-check. They were unaware of what I was referring to and had to consult with management, who clarified that the teriyaki chicken dish needed to be ordered without sauce to be gluten-free. I ended up spending $10.44 and am still unsure if their teriyaki sauce is indeed gluten-free. The staff should be better trained so they can properly serve and inform customers, especially those looking for gluten-free options.

Mushy rice and chicken catsu was so hard could not even eat it. eierrolle was also great. does not know how this place has 4 stars

The food is delicious! The chicken was very juicy, cooked perfectly. The service was 10 out of 10. I've been there on separate occasions and both the gentleman and womanbehind the counter were extremely gracious and welcoming. Highly recommend!
