Izakaya Tenko - Lake Forest

The experience was pretty average overall. The food was okay and the prices were high, so I'm not sure if I would return in the future.

I first found this hidden gem in 2020 and have been returning ever since. It has become our favorite Japanese/Sushi spot. Our go-to order is the Bento Box with Chicken Katsu or Teriyaki Chicken, California or Crunchy Roll, Shrimp and Veg Tempura, and a side of pork gyoza. The Karaage chicken is also delicious, and their fried rice is a must-have. The service is always excellent, and they treat us like regulars now. The prices are reasonable, and I highly recommend this place!

The restaurant offers fantastic food at a great price with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. What more could you ask for? It's excellent!

It's a decent place. Quality of the sushi is lacking (thus the 1 point knock), but other dishes are pretty good. It's close by and experience has been great overall. Only if they can improve on the raw fish department, it would be our go too.
