Wooden Nickel Cafe - Lake Country

I have been dining here for years and every time the food is delicious! Yesterday, I had the clubhouse sandwich and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to order a second one to go, haha. I couldn't stop thinking about it all day! I can't wait to go back.

After my daughter passed away, I traveled to Lake County the next day to meet with family and plan the funeral. We met at the Wooden Nickel Cafe, where our waitress promptly took our order. Despite our heavy hearts and somber expressions, she quickly brought our food to the table and expressed her condolences, offering to cover our bill for the day. We were touched by the kindness and generosity of someone we had never met before.

I adore this cozy restaurant. The renovation before COVID gave it a fresh look, and the food has always been consistently delicious and well-loved. I highly recommend dining here instead of opting for a local chain restaurant.

The place was really busy and food was great. Staff was friendly and patient.
