Krystal - Lake City

I hadn't visited in a while due to previous bad experiences, but I decided to give it another try. Initially, I enjoyed good service and tasty food. However, since the manager who was let go over having to cover a theft out of pocket, my experience has deteriorated. Tonight was a stark reminder of why I won’t be returning. This franchise really needs to be reviewed by corporate; if they own it, they should consider taking it back. I waited over 20 minutes for two meals, and when they finally arrived, only one was brought out along with no drinks. I wasn't even informed that I had been charged for both meals. After another ten minutes of waiting, I finally received the rest of the food. I love Krystal's, but not this particular location.

The service is quite slow. Expect to wait between 15 to 35 minutes for your meal. The Krystal burgers appear undercooked, and the buns are soggy. Even if you're the only customer in the drive-thru, you'll still be asked to wait for your order, which often arrives lukewarm and not fully cooked.

After waiting a bit too long in the drive-thru, we decided to head inside, where we were greeted by the general manager who served us. She was incredibly friendly. The wait wasn’t actually that long; we were just feeling a little impatient, haha. The service was excellent, and to our surprise, we didn’t have to pay for our food, which made it even better! Enjoying hot food and great customer service was a wonderful way to wrap up the night.

I have never had an experience like I had there last week... I was treated disrespectfully by an employee who's name I believe was Donny (thin, dark-skinned middle age man) who was obviously upset when I politely asked how long my order would take before ordering. I just wanted to make sure I would have time to get to work because I had been late previously because they took so long. I DIDN'T even mention that, I just simply ASKED, without being rude. He then responded sarcastically that it would take a long time. I thought he had a sense of humor and laughed along with him. THEN I pull up to the window. AND since I had asked about the time he announces to his coworkers the situation... and even one of them calls him petty... as he decided to let my order of only two krystal burgers sit on the counter for a couple minutes (yes, I could see my TWO Krystals the entire time) . He played around while making me wait. I contacted corporate who have yet to respond and this was last week, I have never been given such service and as someone who has worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I am appalled that this would be acceptable.

Krystal isn't in my hometown, so any time I get the chance, I go! I was really hungry, so i ordered five cute little yummy burgers, chili cheese fries, and dag-gone vanilla milkshake! OMG....so good! Nothing like this place. Staff was great and very accommodating in spite of their drink machine malfunction. BTW, eyes were bigger than stomach!
