Frankie’s Place - Lake City

In the picture below, you'll see the Eggplant Rollatini and Stromboli. The staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. The cook and owner even approached us to chat and mentioned that if we left without taking a to-go box, it would be his mistake—and he wasn't kidding!

I can't help but give this place a perfect five stars. The servers are fantastic, the atmosphere is delightful, and the food is amazing. I absolutely love this restaurant! With such a wide variety of options, I'll definitely be returning frequently. If you're a pizza lover, you have to try their Sicilian deep dish—it’s outstanding!

The food and service were fantastic! However, the music was so loud that I couldn’t hear my husband sitting across the table. It definitely needed to be turned down a notch or two.

Frankie's was a delightful surprise during my two-day road trip. Situated in Downtown Lakeland, the venue offers a vibrant blend of a bar and restaurant. The clientele ranged from bar-goers to those enjoying a quieter table service, including a few families with young children. The menu featured an array of excellent, homemade dishes that were truly impressive. With fantastic flavors, welcoming service, and a personal visit from Frankie, the owner, to each table, this place is a must-visit on any trip to Lakeland.

I couldn't finish my meal at this restaurant. The grilled chicken was bland; it had no seasoning and had a strange, rubbery texture. The mac and cheese tasted just like Bob Evans, and the tater tots were overly soft. Overall, the meal felt like it had been microwaved. On my first visit, I ordered spaghetti that came with just one tiny, flavorless meatball. I wouldn't recommend this place, nor would I return. I don't understand its popularity, aside from the fact that it has a bar.
