O'charley's Restaurant Bar

We always try to stop at O’Charley’s when passing through Lake Charles. This time our waitress Chloey G made the experience even nicer. Her demeanor was so inviting and friendly. I had the bbq pork chop and ribs, with smashed potatoes and grilled corn. The bbq was a dry rub with the perfect amount of spice. The seasonal grilled corn with garlic butter was too die for! So delicious. The smashed potatoes were not served with gravy, but Chloey hooked me up with some. My husband had the balsamic chicken breast and my granddaughter had the grilled cheese with broccoli. The fresh buns, as always, we’re served warm and fresh.

Stopped here for lunch today and walked away with a smile! The service was outstanding, very friendly management! I got the pecan crusted chicken salad and my husband got the bacon cheeseburger. Though my husband said his burger was a little tough the taste was great, everything else: perfect! I would love to see more of these around the state!

So it was our 1st time here took our my whole family. It was between here and Texas Roadhouse but we know how Roadhouse taste so we chose here to give it a shot.. long story short. The server was nice but she did take a while to check up on us.Food on the other hand was not good. My ribs and baked potato was cold.. the steak was chewy. The corn was ok. Didn't know was going to be upcharged for corn and baked potato as my 2 sides.. wife's Cajun pasta was not good at all tasted like rubbery noodles.. and my kiddos chicken tenders where straight from the freezer no type of seasoning or anything..As far as atmosphere i got a Chili's vibe..

Third week in a row stopping here. The idea was to have a beer and appetizer, but the waitress' sense of urgency had me order an entrée much sooner. Upon request, I ordered the salmon, which arrived before my appetizer and my drink. Salmon was cooked well, despite.I remember when this used to be one of the best spots in town.

I've been a fan supporter of O'Charley's since they first opened in Lake Charles ... during a hurricane! They provided food for Healthcare workers, police, emergency personnel. Then continued to grill outside as folks made their way back to town. Food is consistent. Lots of good options to select from. Service is good prices are reasonable. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to manage in a wheelchair.
