Lake House Lake Bluff

Love the full experience. Jazz band. Great food and drink selections. Personable and pro waiter who was a solid host. Love the home made croutons. Salad bar can use an upgrade to north shore Chicago standards.

This was our first time at the Lake House in Lake Bluff. The food was excellent; we really enjoyed everything about the restaurant including the music and the salad bar. Will definitely go back.

Like an old supper club. You walk in and are greeted by a large podium. Specials were Prime Rib and Crab Legs....separate dishes. Live piano playing which adds to ambiance for good or ill. They have a salad bar, which is ok and has soup on it. Portions seem plentiful. there is a bar separate from the dining room so if that is your taste one can go in there. Place was crowded but got reservation right away. It is a popular place.

The prime rib was well done and very tough. I asked for medium. Big disappointment for such a high price. Wine list could be much better. We love this restaurant, just wish the food was better quality for the prices. They just don’t match up. The people here are always friendly and super pleasant to be around. Ambiance is wonderful.

I really like the ambiance of this place it has an old supper club feel. I think if you stick to burgers, pizza or fried items you will not be disappointed . Some of the fish is not fresh it’s frozen very tough and overcooked.My other complaint is they were out of a lot of stuff which is kind of annoying. For every day it’s OK a special occasion I will go somewhere else
