Special Events At Montage Laguna Beach

The food was delicious, but given the location at The Montage and the prices, I expected a bit more. Having worked in the service industry for 16 years, I might be more critical than most. The drinks took an eternity to arrive. I made the mistake of sending my first one back because it wasn’t worth the $22. My second drink didn’t show up until about 10 minutes after our entrees were served, so I ended up waiting around 20 minutes for it. It was clear they were understaffed, as the servers were hustling. For nearly $200 for two people, I believe the service needs significant improvement.

I really enjoyed the outdoor seating arrangement. It was great to watch the chefs in action at the outdoor wok station. The food was absolutely delicious, and we can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful evening at the Thai Pop Up at the Montage. I really appreciate how they utilize the outdoor space for a relaxed dining experience. The service was outstanding, and the cocktails were fantastic. The food was quite delicious, although some portion sizes, like the soup, were a bit small. The chicken satay was possibly the best I've ever tasted. I hope they return again!

Way overpriced and above average food with the ambience the highlight

The food from Talay was amazing, you can't ask for a better view, and our server Johnny was really helpful while we ordered vegan options on the menu (and refilling the water- spice wimps taking on some spicy dishes lol). The lady working the front counter, I think Bree, was also very kind and offered to take our picture. A really nice night, thank you!
