The Captain's Cove - Lagrange

I would not recommend dining at this restaurant. The woman who manages it is quite rude. They automatically include a tip in your bill, and there are additional charges that you'll need to have removed. It seems like they struggle with basic calculations or expect patrons not to notice these discrepancies. When you mention it, they dismiss your concerns by calling you picky. In my opinion, it's actually a matter of dishonesty on their part.

My husband and I dine here frequently! The Crab Au Gratin is absolutely delightful, and the steak is consistently fantastic and cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoy our meals at Captain's Cove and I often recommend it to my friends.

The waitress was excellent, but the food was very disappointing. My wife couldn't eat her fish, and when she brought it to the waitress's attention, she tried to address the issue. Unfortunately, the management was rude and refused to offer a refund for the full plate of fish that my wife didn't even eat after tasting it. When we checked out, the management and her daughter gave us dirty looks, making it seem like we were the problem instead of them. Since they didn't provide any refund, we won’t be returning to this restaurant. I'm in town on government business with FEMA and GEMA, and this is the only negative experience I’ve had during my visit to La Grange. Everything else, aside from Captain's Cove, has been great.

The food was great, and the balsamic dressing was outstanding. Our server, a young man, was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. He truly was the best!

I absolutely love this place! The steaks and seafood are fantastic. Be sure to ask for Carol White; she will take great care of you.
