Been going to Mullens in Lagos since 1990!! It is a former bodega now a bar and restaurant. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices and great food. Chicken piri piri is great. Slightly quirky place where they play jazzy music in the background and have a cosmopolitan range of staff young men and women from various different parts of the world. It is owned by a Scottish Portuguese family who play a very active role in the management and are very visible on the ground. It's great for all to eat in, couples, singles and people with kids. We've been to Lagos about a dozen times or more have would never dream of a week there without going to Mullens at least twice. Everyone I've ever recommended to go there (and there have been many! has given it a major thumbs up. During busy season you probably need to book it if you want to eat there. Great atmosphere, music, staff and food. All very lay back. Have a look definitely.
Wandered in when we smelled the delicious smoke of a grill. Great spot, great music, amazing food! Sat at the bar and chatted with the friendly staff. Found a fellow Californian. Ate and drank more than we needed and were pleasantly shocked at the low bill. A cozy spot in an amazing town.
Unreal Piri Piri Chicken must have. Good atmosphere nice waitors and cool old fashion interior. Would go back.
We visited last year and had the famous Piri piri chicken which we really enjoyed. However this time we decided to go for the steak and wow!! We all agreed it was probably the best steak we have ever had. We all want to return on our last night. Service was amazing just like last time and already we can’t wait to go back. Thank you!
