Small cafe with few tables inside but more seating outside. Good choice on menu, fabulous food and lovely home made cakes and pastries. Coffee is fabulous, service always with a smile and prices so ridiculously cheap you feel guilty not offering more! A place you must visit in Lagos.
We stumbled across this on Sunday afternoon looking for milkshakes for my daughter. It looks very ordinary from the outside but the food is excellent. Coffee is best in Lagos, the double coffee with milk was excellent and piping hot. Lemon cake was delicious too and milkshakes were fab.
A real place in the touristic area. Very friendly stuff. Good variations of pastries, sandwiches and crêpes.
Pasteis de nata one of, maybe THE most popular pastries in Portugal. You can get this literally anywhere in Portugal, at least as far as I traveled, from Porto in the north to Lagos in the south. Any pastry shop as them, most hotel buffet breakfasts...they are ubiquitous. And I ate many during my three week visit to Portugal. Belem of course is the place they were invented, but I passed that by on my visit, as there was a line around the block to get into it. Belem insists that theirs are the best, but for my money the best I had was at Susana in Lagos. A very pleasant, intimate place with maybe 8 tables outside. I found one and sat down to a still warm, VERY tasty, one. I think you should try one here, as the place and staff are charming, and as I say, the pasties de natos are GREAT!
