Aldeia Azul Restaurante Lounge Bar

On a positive note, the location was very nice and the server was very professional courteous; friendly and happy to talk. I really do not like to give negative reviews but I really cannot say anything good about the quality of the food we were served. We were so hungry we ate it but it was not a pleasurable dining experience which surprised me given the reviews I had read prior to booking. We had 2 Salmon Tagliatelle in a carbonara type sauce a Lasagna. Perhaps, the chef was off on this particular night or there was a serious malfunction in the kitchen. Essentially what we were served was packet spaghetti, lukewarm, in a bowl of pasta cooking water with a few flakes of salmon thrown in. It was not the sublime dish I was eagerly awaiting. I’d like to think we got the restaurant on a bad night but I can’t say I will return in a hurry. I wanted to complain at the time however my partner who does not like a fuss requested I didn’t so I was quiet and left as soon as I could…. Hungry.

Nice food but the waiter got the food order wrong for one of our group. He got his meal just as the rest of us were finishing ours!

A great place to relax and have a delicious snack

Lovely setting but poor food and really slow service. Gave up on desserts altogether, it was getting too late. The place is hopelessly understaffed.

Lunch was the worst we have ever eaten in the Algarve! Living here over 20 years we have eaten in most places but heard about this place and thought we should try it. Waste of a good Saturday! Cold, dry duck rice with a tiny bit of lettuce and a slice of tomato and smattering of red onion doesn’t constitute a top end restaurant. Not even a low bottom end tourist trap. Never again will we return!!!
