Contribuiți la feedbackI can’t rate this place highly enough, we have always been given a warm welcome from the first visit 8 years ago to present day. The mojitos are the best I have ever had it has a lovely kick to it The view of the square looking toward the sea with a cool drink is perfect way to enjoy your holiday. The two brothers are so nice and are lovely to chat too and always seam to remember us. Also their Dad is so lovely too. Can’t comment on the food as we have never tried it so it means another trip to Carvoeiro
Love this place!! Loved the location. Right on the square, great for people watching. It is what it is, it 's nothing fancy but if you want a local while you 're on holiday, a bar to grab a beer or two in the afternoon or in the evening before or after dinner then this is the place. That is not me doing it a disservice either! I love this place! The terrace overlooking the square is such a good location. The beer tasted delicious, probably the best tasting beer I had in Carvoeiro to be honest. They have a menu of burgers and similar stuff but really, you don 't come here for the food. You come for the canecas! Perfect place to grab a pint, get out of the afternoon sun and relax before you make plans for the evening. Love this place!! Also, it 's worth noting that the member of staff who was working when we were there a couple of times was pretty fluent in English, German and obviously Portuguese. All while serving drinks and cooking cheeseburgers at the same time! That takes skill! Love this place!!
Every morning for full English amazeballs defiantly recommend staff more than happy to help. X Be back next year hopefully
Go upstairs from the main square and you will find a cosy bar which opens up onto a balcony that overlooks the main square. There used to be a webcam at the Metabixo which looked right out across the bars and restaurants but that now seems to have been disconnected. We were looked after by a couple of really nice gents and the drinks were reasonably priced
Well this was our first time in this area and we always like to find somewhere on the first night where we can buy a coffee and relax after having been out for our meal. This then generally leads to a few in the party having alcoholic drinks and spending a few hours chatting etc. If the establishment does food then again we will then also pop in through the day. On finding the right place for coffee in the evenings we will always return each night of the holiday to enjoy a relaxing few hours. However to get to the point of this review, we went upstairs in this establishment passing through the counter where the gentleman just frowned at us (as if we were intruding on his private space) and we were then squeezed in at the back of the terrace, but felt comfy with the atmosphere. As it was the first night we decided we would have an early one as it had been a long day with the flight etc. So having had 2x americanos 1x little bottle of water and a cup of hot water we went out to the gentleman on the till to pay. Well he was frowning on the way in and on the way out he was just plain rude and charged us 8euros. This is not a lot of money but when water is around 1euro and the coffees are less than 1euro you do not expect to then pay 5euros for a cup of hot water. The prices above are from memory of their menu before we went upstairs and could be a few cents either way. Now the cost was not the issue it was more the way we were greeted and treated as we were leaving and the way we were RIPPED OFF. We would have happily gone in most nights and spent 20 to 40euros minimum without a quibble had it not been for the way we were treated. The young man who served us could not have done enough for us and was very friendly. But the owner/manager at the till wants to go to anger management classes and also learn about good service and what it entails. So going forward: Would we go back ..... a definite NO Would we recommend. ..... a definite NO I would advise all who read this to talk with your feet and avoid it “BIG TIME” The Patterson Family
