Martino's Pizzeria - Lafayette

Martino's pizza has a good vegan pizza. great crust, sauce and Daiya cheese plus lots of toppings. They will make the pasta dish vegan with your choice of veggies. They also have sprinkles available for dine in: oregano, garlic, chili flakes and fermented pepper flakes. For vegetarians they have a nut free pesto and gluten free pizza crust (dairy free but has eggs) Has outdoor seating and pretty roses.

Great option for vegan pizza and they deliver! They also make a gluten-free crust which is delicious

The restaurant may be a bit divey, but the food is fantastic. I highly recommend the Fire Pizza and the sandwiches. I plan on trying the wings next time. The prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.

Kiddos wanted pizza, and it was Mother's Day so everywhere had an hour wait. We tried out Martinos which had a super short wait, pizza was ready in 20 minutes. This place is interesting- no dine in, just to go and takeout orders. The restaurant is essentially just a pickup area which surprised my husband who wanted to eat there initially. We ordered a large pizza with cheese and olives and mushrooms, and a build your own calzone. At the last minute I decided against their garlic sticks because they have cheese, no plain garlic bread, and the cheese blend includes cheddar which was not what we wanted. Initial impressions- the pizza was hot, fresh, smelled good when we picked it up. The portion size was generous but the cheese to bread ratio was inconsistent (see pic). Overall there is so much potential here but the food was really bland. I've never had bland Italian food before- the crust tasted like it had no salt in it, and the entire meal was wildly lacking in seasoning (salt, garlic, herbs, etc). Nobody in my household finished their meal, and we're not that picky. It's just too much bland food- I really hope they take feedback and add seasoning to their dishes because I really think there's a ton of potential in our neighborhood for a fast handmade pizza joint. We'll probably try them again in about 3-6months to see if it's improved/changed at all.

Very excited to have found a place near us that does Chicago thin! It's my favorite kind of pizza and this place does it well. (Yes, it's square cut, and yes, it should be! I got one with their homemade Italian sausage and it brought me right back. I also got an Italian beef, which while not 100% the same as one of Chicago, it was still good. Will return for sure.
