Hamblin Eatery - Lafayette

Very glad we stopped and had dinner. All the dishes where great, everyone enjoyed the food. Service was excellent. We should have stopped a year or two earlier, they are three years old as a business now.

This is hard for me, because the first two times I had this place I was in love. First time was the fish tacos, second time was fish tacos and banh mi. Everything was perfect and wonderful and I wrote a yelp review about how much I loved itThe last two times have been very unfortunate however. The time before last we tried 3 types of tacos (fish steak pork belly) and the Thai pizza. All were great, cept later that night when I found myself battling food poisoning for hours till I passed out in the bathroom : this last time my partner got me the fish tacos (I loved them so much the first two times) and a pizza to share (I didn't try the pizza) as a celebratory congrats on new job meal... within about two hours after eating the tacos, im back in the bathroom sick again... not sure if it was the fish or tartar sauce but something has definitely been off the last two times, and even my dude felt a little weird (he didn't have the tartar sauce tho). Sooooo not super sure what's going on, but Im definitely not getting the fish tacos again :

Sooo goood. Very unexpected when you walk in and see the menu. It has menu items that are all different but everything was really good. Cray has made pork belly and carne asada tacos. Meatball are delicious and the BLT was amazing. Highly recommend. Great place to recharge in between wine tasting.

Plenty of indoor seating. Has a parking lot and street parking. Order at counter and food is brought out. Clean and well stocked restrooms. Drinks and food were served in a timely manner. Have high chairs for kids. Pizzas have a great crust and flavor. Good dining experience and looking forward to trying other items.
