Ground Pat'i Grille - Lafayette

I usually give this place (Gretna) a great review, but yesterday we arrived at 2:15, were seated, and gave our drink order (2 beers). 25 minutes later we were still sitting there (still no drinks) as our server passed our booth no fewer than 4 times to deliver bills and go- containers to her tables that had completed their meals. Not once did she deliver food or drink, or stop to take our order. She didn't acknowledge us after seating us until we got up to leave. And she wonders why she hasn't gotten a raise in 17 years. I think she's lucky to still have a job.

Celebrating a birthday celebration. 1st class in every aspect. Wheelchair accessibility: Birthday celebration was for a wheelchair bound man. More than happy with the setup.

Just picked up an order of to go fish. C'mon! Really? The Original Ground Pati on Johnston has the best fried catfish fillets so I thought this location would be the same... NOPE. Not even close. These are fried fish nuggets. The batter was greasy and gross.

Consistently good food. Nice restaurant. You get to enjoy free peanuts while you wait on your food.

We went in and it took at least ten minutes for a waiter to even come to our table. We then had to wait ten more minutes for them to bring us our drinks. Some of us ordered medium cooked burgers, but they were all well done. We were there for at least 50 minutes before we even got our food. There was very few wait staff and the service was terrible. The fries were cold, unsalted, and barely cooked. It was an overall disappointing experience. I definitely won't be going there anytime soon and am very sad because I had so many good memories there from when I was younger. I would not recommend going.
