Contribuiți la feedbackI had a fantastic lunch here today, and it was truly wonderful. I often recommend this place to guests at the hotel where I work, but this was my first time dining here. Now I can confidently send my guests, knowing they will enjoy an excellent meal. My server, Jacob, was attentive and polite—great job!
Wow, this place is amazing! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really made our experience special. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the drinks were great too. The prices were very reasonable, and I only wish it were closer to home because I would definitely be a regular. However, there was one downside—the smell. The best way I can describe it is reminiscent of a dirty baby diaper. It was quite off-putting.
An entirely honest and objective review: This is the ideal venue for anniversaries, baby showers, weddings, or birthdays! I've been employed here for 6-7 years, and I can confidently say that customer satisfaction is our top priority—it’s truly what we aim for. Out of all the places I’ve worked, Don’s is the only one that goes the extra mile to purchase decorations for any event, ensuring that guests keep returning.
All around good but not great. Hit and miss on the dishes (table of eight). The worst was red beans were too salty to eat and shrimp tacos were cold (both). Everything else good including our server Moe.
We hadn’t dined here in a few years. One reason was due to past issues we encountered, but also because the restaurant was always too busy during our attempts to return, resulting in long wait times. Finally, we visited on a day when there was no wait, so we decided to dine in. The atmosphere was pleasant, and our waitress was fantastic. Unfortunately, we had a long wait for our food. I’m not sure why, as we noticed several diners who were seated 10 to 15 minutes after us finishing their meals before we even received ours. I don’t blame our waitress for this kitchen issue; she apologized multiple times and admitted she didn’t know what was causing the delay. Luckily, we weren’t in a rush. However, we were disappointed with the food. There were some standout items, but others missed the mark. For instance, how can you get fries wrong? They came out cold and rubbery. The gumbo was good, but the bisque was surprisingly off-putting. It tasted unlike any bisque I’ve ever had — it felt like they just took the gumbo roux, added a single stuffed crawfish head, and called it bisque. For me, that’s not true bisque. As for the fried catfish, I’m not sure how to describe it. The pieces were extremely thin, and while a lot of batter was added to give the appearance of thickness, it couldn’t mask the fact that there was no distinct fish flavor or sensation when biting into it. While we did have some enjoyable dishes, the disappointments outnumbered them, making it hard to consider returning. I’m not saying I would never go back, but I’d probably only revisit if I was part of a group that chose this restaurant. I should add this disclaimer: take my review with a grain of salt since this place is packed every night, which indicates they must be doing something right.
