China Buffet - Lafayette

Staff was beyond rude disrespectful! Our party of 6 people got there a good 30 minutes before they started serving dinner. Everything started fine but they started rushing us but not telling us why exactly we had no clue as to why they wanted us to hurry and leave. My nephew, who 's only 10 years old, was done with his first plate one of the two women repeatedly kept saying if he was done with his he answered yes but she kept say egg-roll over over until finally my father picked up the egg-roll placed it on his plate just so she (waitress)would take my nephew 's plate. By this time, they already asked if we were paying together or separately. My mother went back for her second plate and they repeatedly told her she would be charged double for eating another plate. I couldn 't believe how disrespectful they were being/ wards us like we were the problem. I really don 't think they any kind of air conditioner either. Besides how the staff was treating us it was boiling HOT inside the restaurant. So get ready to go pay leave and I ask for a to-go sweet tea (I only had one glass the entire time) and the woman said they would have to charge me another dollar for a to-go drink . I said just forget it then Parking: 20+ parking spots available Kid-friendliness: This is a kid friendly place but the staff wasn 't very friendly to anyone that was with us in our party of 6, but especially to my 4 year old son and my 10 year old nephew.

Buffet wasn't anything close to fresh. Service was friendly and atmosphere is typical.

Timing is imperative for this buffet. If you mess around and go at 3pm or even 2pm you'll likely get food that has set there for a while. 11-1 and 5-7 and you're ok!

I’d been curious about this place since I first heard of it. I finally went yesterday. I should’ve known better than get out the car when I pulled up. But thought, what the hell I’m here and hungry. When I walked in, I was greeted by a boy about 16 that looked like he’d been beaten his whole life. That was the most sparsely stocked buffet I’ve ever seen! There wasn’t a full pan of anything, except soup. They have PLENTY! There were so few selections, I didn’t find anything particularly appealing. I’d read the butter potatoes and peanut chicken were good, I tried them. The potatoes had more of an Italian flavor than Asian. The peanut chicken though, yea that was kinda yummy. But I just couldn’t stand watching that boy walk around, wide eyed like he was expecting someone to jump out at him with a wooden spoon and punish him for something he didn’t know he did. But the thing that made my jaw drop, the warning labels EVERYWHERE! “…eat as much as you want but if you don’t clean your plate a 20% surcharge will be added to your bill.” Wait, WHAT? If I’m stuffed and can’t take that last bite of the egg roll, there’s another 20% charge?!?!? This sign is posted on the ends of every hot bar and on the napkin dispensers on all tables. BYE YALL! Parking: Parking lot is VERY small

It is an all-you-can eat buffet. I don't know what the meat is but it tastes good. Friendly staff... Quick to refill drinks. I always grab soft serve ice cream cone just before leaving... Yummmmmy ?
