Scratch Farm Kitchen - Lafayette

I visited a small restaurant with a unique concept - farm to table. The menu changes based on what ingredients are available. They mainly serve brunch and offer a variety of great options. I ordered the Scratch, which was a biscuit topped with sausage, farm egg, Gouda cheese, and blueberry jam. I opted for hash potatoes on the side. Everything was fresh and there was plenty of food to satisfy any appetite. The biscuit was not your traditional biscuit, but it was not too heavy and was able to hold the sausage patty well. The over easy egg was cooked perfectly and the yolk ran like gold when cut into. The blueberry jam was a delicious addition to the dish. The hash potatoes were a combination of well-seasoned, crispy (from grilling), and steamed. I have had similar dishes at other places but this was the best attempt I have seen. I enjoyed every bite! I also tried their Lavender Hibiscus Lemonade, which was good but a bit too flowery for my liking. I plan on returning to try the Lavender Lemonade without the hibiscus next time. I can't wait to come back and try something new!

If you have to wait in line, it's worth it! This restaurant serves the best food I can recall, every bite was amazing. I highly recommend trying the Lavender Margarita. This peaceful and beautiful establishment welcomes everyone and serves all-natural, locally grown food.

I absolutely loved everything about this hidden gem! The hostess at the front counter was friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. The kitchen was open, allowing you to watch the food being prepared and see how clean the establishment is. I had a question about a menu item and the chef personally explained it to me. Fresh flowers adorned the space, adding a charming touch. The restaurant uses farm-fresh ingredients, and the quality shines through in every bite. The menu offers a wide variety of options for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Please note that the hours listed on Facebook are incorrect (11am-11pm), as the actual hours of operation are from 9am to 2pm. Trust me, once you visit this fantastic spot, you'll want to return. I know I will be back!

The best burger!! Husband loved his grit bowl as well. Place is tiny and fills up fast, so get there early! We'll worth the wait! Mostly local ingredients. So good!

Very fresh vegan dishes, vegetable proteins are optional. Coffee is great and so are the plates. Absolutely excellent!
