Weirs Beach Lobster Pound - Laconia

Had lunch here Sat and dinner Sun. Both times everything was great. Lunch at the bar watching games on the tv. Burger was huge and awsome. I had the lobster pie for dinner it was great and my husband had a big steak that he said was really good. We didn't have room for anything else but saw the table next to us order cakes that looked really good.

Where to begin, thought we'd enjoy a nice lobster meal before we left the area. The only person to enjoy his meal was my 10 year old son, who ordered a whole lobster, it actually tasted good! My husband and I ordered lobster roll...we thought we were getting hot lobster roll, but that was our mistake as we didn't ask to make sure. When it came it looked really good and full with meat. Well that's the only good thing I can say about it, as it was rotten! We couldn't eat it...and how do we know, my husband works for the federal government as a fish inspector, it's his job!!! And it's against the law where we live to cook dead lobster and sell them. We confronted the waiter who assured us that the lobsters are fresh and cooked alive and when he went to ask the chef it took him about 10-15 minutes only to come back and assure us the chef had no idea what could be wrong. Never in my life have I ever been served rotten lobster meat at a restaurant, ever! Horrible...and for the price we paid, we had to go down the road to Friendly for an ice cream to fill us up. Bad, Bad, never eat there again....

Had great scallops. My husband had a chicken parm dinner he said was the best he ever had. Then we stayed and danced to a great band on the roof deck over looking the lake. A must if you are in the lakes region.

Have been several times over the winter and summer. Food is great, service is great, new building is great. Live music on the roof deck with views of the lake are like none found anyplace in the lakes region.

Ordered clam roll for $16.00 and only had about 6 clams in it. They cater to thier needs not the customer's needs. You don't get what you pay for. Food not so great.
