We ordered one of the sushi sashimi combos a few weeks ago. It smelled very fishy but I didn't think too much of it. My boyfriend ended up getting food poisoning and threw up that night for hours. We've always had a great experience at the Yonge Finch location, and we were horrified with this experience that we will not be returning to Sushi Bong

Ordered 3 rolls and sashimi for pick up at their World on Yonge location. Last I ate at Sushi Bong was 5 years ago in North York and remember their portions were decent and price was good so thought I give them a try again. However, I was so disappointed at my experience. Both Salmon and Tuna smelled and for the first time in my life I threw out my sushi to the garbage. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I have nothing against them but I’m very very disappointed at their quality. Never going back there again!

Small joint that does cheap sushi that is pretty low quality. If you want cheap sushi, this the place, but if you want good sushi, there 's a million other spots. The rice is hard, the fish isn 't great and overall just lacks taste. The rolls are massive, but mostly filled with rice and cucumber. I think it 's okay. Just okay. Not great not terrible but Maybe I am just getting old and would rather dish out a bit more cash for higher quality. I used to come here all the time so I came for old time sake but it just isn 't what I remembered it to be. They even gave me three service (free) deep fried fish sticks that I didn 't order, but even that was cold. I don 't want to dump on a place that I used to love but it may be a while before I forget how it didn 't kill my sushi craving and then come back. See you in a few months.
