Château de la Treyne - Lacave

Friends suggested we had Sunday lunch as it is so special and we decided to really treat ourselves and have an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast we were celebrating a special anniversary. From the moment we arrived the staff made our stay so special,...our beautiful room with jacuzzi bath, fabulous views and rose petals and swans was stunning. Dinner was excellent and again the staff were on hand without being intrusive, and the owner Stephanie met everyone. Memorable moments the cappuccino soup, the choux pastry cheese, the black pudding balls, the chicken, and the amazing selection of cheese. Breakfast in bed the following morning was a real treat and the orange marmalade and yogurt incredible. And of course the bread. We shall return next year and will cherish our lovely stay.

A must eat place. Excellent menu and excellent staff. Great, reasonable wine selection. We did the prefix. The truffles egg was amazing. The beef excellent too. It books up so make your reservations far in advance.
