The area is very popular with folk from Toulouse and surrounds , I think mainly because parking is plentiful. Within this estate is La Criee and at first glance looks to be a superior fish restaurant. It is quite busy but not packed as are the other fast food outlets. The food is OK but does not quite live up to the expectation of the menu . I had couteau razor clams) done is a sauce , tasty but lacking in zing , followed by Skate wing which was cooked OK but far, far too much bitter and the mashed potato was sitting in that butter and the capers were a bit of an afterthought. Pricewise, it seemed about right for what we had but overall , I don't think we will go out of our way to return.
If you have a look at location you know what you're getting. There are lot of (fastfood) restaurants in this part of the town. We came through this area by accident looking out to eat fish La Criee was the only place that seemed to have some (exept a Sushi Bar across the stree). What we got is what we expected. The food was ok, but nothing out of the ordinarry. The dish is arranged in a very simple way and while the first waiter was very friendly we can't say the same about the second one. Shortly after having finished we recieved the bill without having asked for it. It seemed the place wanted to close up (around 22:00 hs). Although there was nothing really bad about the place I wouldn't come back.
Fish was not fresh and badly cooked. Mussles were awful. We did not finish the lunch and left before the end.
Very good time spent on the lake. We loved our meals that were very good! the service was pleasant and the friendly menus. I recommend.
Come by chance, we ate well; The cod had fresh air, the assembly of the ocean plate was envy. the damage that the sauces or mayonnaise were tricatel; the only dish is the price of the wines: a bottle of tariquet sold 8€ in the cellar is displayed at 30€ . This evil is detrimental to many restaurateurs!
