Cajun Cafe On The Bayou - Labadieville

Ordered 3 roast beef po-boys, hamburger steak, Fish platter, shrimp platter and onion rings 6:30 pm. They said they would call me when it was almost ready. 7:30 pm comes and no phone call so I called them, not ready they said 10-15 more minutes I leave without a phone call and get there at 8:00 pm. There is a bag on the counter with the po-boys and onion rings. Again, it was so on the counter sitting there. The rest of the food was not ready! It wasn?t until 8:30 pm when the rest of the food came out. There was just a....... I am sorry for the wait from the waitress not the owners.......... 2 hour wait!!!!! Needles to say the po-boys were so soggy and cold and it was nasty! Pretty sad because if they would be able to run the kitchen right it would be good. Paid too much money for this type of service.

This is a very warm and friendly place and the food is amazing, love fried fish, shrimp and also the white chocolate bread pudding is to die for, great service too

Had the shrimp and crab gumbo and seafood kickers and it?s the best thing I?ve had to eat in a while! Reminds me of home ????

Very nice place to eat. Friendly and good chow. The chicken sandwich is huge and very tasty

Don't let this little cafe, literally on the bayou, fool you. The food here is excellent. I've been here 3 times so far and will be returning with friends. Everyone here was nice, helpful, and likes to talk. The front parking along the street is a little small but there's more room next door. So take a little ride outside of Thibodeaux to Labedieville for some good Cajun cookin'.
