Mexichina - La Vergne

Service was nice, two guys at the register were patient and kind. Food was hot and came out quick. General chicken was tough and drowning in sauce. Teriyaki chicken was good but the veggies with it were super underdone and hard. Sweet and sour shrimp was great. Fried rice was super basic taste, no veggies mixed in with it or eggs. Crab Rangoons were meh, kinda bland tasting, same for the Veggie roll.

I wasn't sure about this place until I went for lunch. Mexican and Chinese in one place had me thinking it may not be very good. I was dead wrong. This place is great. I almost always get the orange chicken. Great food, great presentation, great lunch menu prices.

Spent $38 on 2 meals.I ordered the carne asada plate which supposedly came with rice, beans and handmade tortillas. The rice had no flavor and beans were on a small plastic side CUP ! What a disappointment for such the amount of money spent.No tortillas were given.Very upset, not going back.

The food was subpar, nothing had any flavor. I ordered the Kungpao beef with fried rice, veggie lo mein and a steak burrito. I asked for no raw onions or cilantro and the burrito had both, the steak was unseasoned, the beans were ice cold. Not impressed and I had high hopes.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Staff is rude, they need more phone etiquette. The girl who answered the phone didn't understand my order so I spoke more slowly and still repeated my order another 3 times. She probably felt offended when I spoke slower because she told me I didn't have to speak to her that way. I didn't speak to her in any insulting manor I just simply repeated my order more slowly. Bad customer service, ended up cancelling my order.
