Porota's - La Serena

I've eaten twice here: for dinner and lunch. The food is great, the service is great and the location is very nice and also directly opposite the road from the beach. You even have a decent espresso coffee! They make a nice selection of dishes, many seafood et al. I cannot comment on their meat dishes (yes! but the seafood is great. I really enjoyed my baked fish and asparagus in Brik pastries with a really ingenious capsicum (red pepper sauce. I'll be back!

Food is a bit pricey for what you get. The fish tasted very fishy (ya I know it’s fish but it shouldn’t be like that) and the tortellini had carrots and black olives in it, maybe it’s just me but who does that. Like I said, very pricey.

Unbelievable! We were amazed by the excellent service and the great food! So! Delicious!

Great food. Beautiful service very friendly with children. The whole place is beautifully decorated and is located in front of the beach. What else can you ask?.... Oh, yeah, the food was really good and original.

We had only one bottle of wine there, but the service was very good and the atmosphere was really hearty. On request we were also supplied with bread and butter.
