Contribuiți la feedbackWith my wife in the restaurant. We're both in the fifties. The restaurant opens for lunch only and is close to a number of hostels (we recommend Hostal El Punto, by the way). An Escalera (street leads to the main door of the restaurant that sits in an old house. It looks small from outside, but this is deceptive, there is plenty of space inside. A large fireplace keeps the main dining room warm in winter. The food is exceptionally good. I tried the Mar y Tierra fetuccini and my wife had the carrots tortilla with potatoes and soup. She liked it very much, especially as the potatoes were made. She even learned a good trick from the owner Juan (pronounced Who-an, NOT Goo-an!) how to cook them right. We will return. Prices are fair, ambience too. The food is delicious! Very recommended.
Great place! Lovely people! Nice lunch menu! All the best from Germany!
Absolutely delicious pasta...they don't oversell their notion of being the best.
An excellent option in La Serena. The experience at the Escalera is extraordinary from beginning to end. The local evokes a postcard from Valparaiso, with a Serenense coast air. The entrance receives its owner, Don Juan, with an insurmountable kindness, welcomes us and recommends the delicacies of the chef. The dishes are prepared at the moment, but that does not mean that the wait is prolonged. Perfect attention, abundant dishes, exquisite, well presented, served fresh and ideal temperature. The fresh pastas of the day, with its variety of exquisite sauces, the squid paella and the rice Verdi, as well as the lasagna of the house, are worth a special distinction. The interior of the restaurant is colorful and picturesque, with spaces that invite you to talk, enjoy and share. The experience would be incomplete if celesses and pineapple-cocoque juice were not tasted. It is interesting to indicate that this restaurant has been featured in different articles and magazines such as TAM, in addition to a mention in Gastronomic Heritage Rescue of the Serena, as well as appearing in Google as one of the best restaurants of the Serena. We found this restaurant on social media and we were happy to have chosen it, as it is a great option close to the center, one of the main avenues and a few blocks from the Costanera. I'm definitely going back to this place that's waterproof and special. Widely recommended
Excellent place to eat Pastas, which is specialty, are prepared at the moment, all fresh and very rich. In the Photos we see Mostaccioli pesto Mostaccioli D'Angelo Natural pineapple juice and lemonade mint ginger. Total:$30,000 approx. The Platos in terms of quantity/quality and price are very good. Excellent staff attention. The values are within a tourist area. Recommended.
