Outport Museum and Tea Room - La Scie

Valerie was an excellent host - very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We had a delicious breakfast, and then later enjoyed the best homemade chocolate cake for lunch that I've ever had.

We had a wonderful experience at Valorie's restaurant for lunch. It was great to see the history of the place preserved. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful spot for anyone visiting Lascie.

Valerie is a fantastic cook. she is expert in the kitchen and shows. we were several days and had several meals. cannot say enough how delicious the freshly caught fish cake. also the baked mac n cheese was 2 worthy portions! liberty was very... recognizable in the local history and in the outport museum itself. a must stop in half island baie verte

The owners valerie and larry were a joy. we had a couple of meals with them. their fish cakes were delicious and we also enjoyed their French wobbles supp and mac n cheese! we also participated in their very funny music evening...where local musicians, larry played gitarre and their grandson played the gitarre and the akkordeon. two more musicians played and sang for us. also two singers came from the region and we all sang traditional Newfoundland songs, with the words we all could sing together. it was a very funny night to end with tee and toutons with melasse! delicious! I recommend this beautiful little restaurant/museum for so many reasons.

We stopped by this lovely little museum while exploring the Baie Verte peinsula area. It's fairly remote but provides a good illustration of the earlier life style in this part of Newfoundland. Our guide was a high school girl but had a good grasp of...the museum contents and an earlier life style in this area. A for effort.
