Les Hedonistes - La Rochelle

I was having diner with my 6y old son a Saturday evening. Very friendly staff. For kids they do most main courses half price, half portion much better than the “kids menu” one can find everywhere. Food and wine were excellent the chef masters a wide range of plates from couscous to sea food and everything was good. A sign that this restaurant is seriously managed. I definitely recommend it.

This informal restaurant serves excellent food in a convivial atmosphere. Yes, there are Moroccan couscous dishes, but you will also find fish and chips, and various salads. The charming woman who owns and runs this restaurant is a delight have a conversation with her and you will immediately make a friend. You will feel at home here, and also get a good meal. Ignore the touristy places around the harbor and come here instead. You'll be glad you did!

Very social owner. English. Italian. French and a few other languages spoken. The food is freshly prepared to add something and they will try to let it happen. 1 block from the tourist path and worth the walk.

We went here two times due to son being gluten free. The remembered us and really looked after us. The food is cooked fresh and so tasty . I believe this is a must for anyone going to La Rochelle . And if sunny they give you a hat!
