Waffle House - La Porte

I previously rated 5stars. Whoever, is here 7/8 is not for customer service. I asked why the total jumped $6. I was told there was a to go fee. Well, she hand wrote a note and taped to the door and said Hashbrown bowls to-go only (ham/bacon/sausage) So, you forced to-go orders and then made the charge. So after she rung me up it said $25 plus some change. Then she said $26.30. I asked the difference and handed her $27. She was pressed about me questioning then she didn 't give me my .70cent in change. She carried on about the fee. I said Mam, let 's move forward I paid you, so I want the food. She closed the register. So, I asked for my change she proceeded to say I 'll give you a full refund, I can just refund you! I said because you didn 't give me my change. Mam, move forward! She continued No one is scamming you, online tells you about the fees! She was telling the cook how to cook when I entered. She took over the register from the guy who was ringing out as well.

Excellent food! Good service and great restaurant vibe of the cool old fashioned themes of restaurants. A definite visit!

My server was like the momma that raised all the kids from the block, anything you needed was taken care of instantly. The food was awesome and the service was on point!

So I usually love this location but I was just in there and afterwards had half a slice of bread left so when I left I threw it to a bird that wasn't even on their property it was on the property next door and a Lady yelled at me for doing so. It really made me mad as it wasn't hurting anything and wasn't even on their property. This was after leaving a good tip too. Not very happy and won't reccomend this place. P.S. The rest of the staff was great.

I haven 't visited a Waffle House location for a long time. This one was much nicer than I expected. It seems Waffle House has done a lot to improve. The food was fresh, cooked well, and amazing. The taste was exactly what I needed and satisfied my inner child. It brought back a lot of memories. I had a breakfast melt AND a full breakfast and everything was cooked well. The bread was buttery, the eggs were not overdone, and the grits and meats were not dry. Our server was friendly, fast, and accurate. No problems at all. The parking lot and interior were all clean. I did not visit the restroom but I expected it would be clean, judging by the entire dining room. The manager here is doing a great job.
