Sam Dave's - La Porte

The restaurant's last call is at 1:30am, with no service after that. I was surprised that they don't serve in Texas at 2am! The bartender appeared annoyed about something. This will be my last visit here.

The dipping sauce was quite good. The people were really cool, and there were games, a jukebox, and karaoke. The toilets were clean and there was a back terrace. The bar was small but decent.

Gayle (or Gail) is an excellent bartender, but not the best server. She reminds me of a bartender from a saloon in the wild west.

I recently visited Sam Dave's for the first time to play Singo and had a great time. Although I'm not typically a fan of bars, I would definitely return to play Singo again. It's a popular local dive bar with a friendly atmosphere and regular customers. The bartenders were excellent and everyone was welcoming. Just be aware that smoking is allowed, so you may smell like smoke when you leave. However, it's not overpowering while you're inside. As far as I know, there is no food available for purchase, but it seems that patrons bring in dishes to share in a complimentary buffet. The restaurant also offers ample free parking for guests.

We popped in for a quick drink and ended up dancing all night thanks to the amazing jukebox. Huge shoutout to Tommy and Michelle for making our night even better. We will definitely be returning. As for kid-friendliness, Michelle the bartender was super attentive and kept the awesome tunes coming on the jukebox.
