J J Pizza Shack - La Porte

We ordered from JJ pizza shack laporte becase we never tried it before and we like the one in Michigan city... ordered 2 pasta dinners and they were horrible...the pasta sauce was NOT pasta sauce but a mix of tomato PASTE and pizza SAUCE, it was so acidicand thick we had to scrape it off. There were meat crumbles that were actually pizza sausage and the meatballs were also pizzasausage made into balls. If you don't want to or know how to make pasta the right way then don't offer it! I gave two starsbecause the SARA LEE PECAN PIE WAS GOOD... We won't be going back.

OMG!!!! I thought the JJ Pizza in Michigan City was good, But the JJ Pizza Shack in Laporte is the best Pizza I have ever I ordered the Kitchen sink and man it was amazing!! If you want the best you gotta try the kitchen sink you most definitely won'tbe disappointed!!???? best????ever!!!

I grew up in Lake Station, where JJ's first began. It's undoubtedly the best pizza around. While the LaPorte location might use the same ingredients, it just doesn't have that special touch. The love for the pie here still outshines Domino's.

This was my second time ordering from this restaurant. My first experience involved an XL thick crust supreme pizza, which I wouldn’t recommend—it was more like double dough. However, this time I decided to try an XL sausage and pepperoni thin crust pizza, cooked well done, and it was absolutely delicious! It was perfectly cooked and delivered right on time. I’m really glad I gave them a second chance and I will definitely order again. My only issue was with the person who answered the phone; she was a bit rude and made me feel like I was bothering her by placing my order. I’ll overlook that, though, because the gentleman who took my order the first time was very helpful and even offered me free delivery.

This rundown bar offers a knockoff version of the beloved JJs pizza experience that many of us loyal NWI fans appreciate. It's missing several standard menu items, and the staff appears to be disinterested and generally unenthusiastic about their jobs, which doesn't help the overall atmosphere. The pizza itself is decent, but something feels off compared to the other locations.
