Dick's - La Porte

The bar at 407 in La Porte, Indiana, ranked 407 out of 666 bars in 2017, turned out to be an unexpectedly fantastic discovery. Housed in an old bank, it features elegant Italian marble walls and an enormous bank vault, adding to its charm.

The burgers were fresh and truly delightful. Janet and Howard are both very friendly. It's a must-visit spot at the bar! Make sure to tell them New Jersey sent you!

Small bar in the historic bank building from the beginning of 1900's complete with 3 firearm displays. The staff is extremely competent and friendly and the food is GREAT. The hotel is located in the centre of the city on Main Drag but oh so cozy inside.

Great beer food!!! Good prices on food and drinks. Had picture of beer. Waitress was sweet and attentive. Nice late afternoon atmosphere. Will definitely go again. Enjoyed our time very much.

Right off the bat I 'm going to recommend a drink called the Darwin. A bit pricey but worth it. This bar has a unique set up with side to side dart boards so multiple people can play at once. The drinks were served in a timely manner. I didn 't try the food on this night but have in the past. They are known for the Big Dick and Little Dick hamburgers. Never had a complaint about the food. This bar has your choice of bar seating or booth. All in all I would recommend this bar for a night out or just a casual drink with a friend or loved one.
