Bistro On The Greens - La Porte

This hidden gem is located on a 118 year old golf course. What an accomplishment! The food was fast and fresh. The staff and other customers were friendly. Our favorites were the fried green tomatoes and blackened pork chops. The decor is dedicated to black jazz musicians that really gave it a Louisiana jazz club feel. The greens and red beans and rice were not what I expected of creole cuisine. In all I'd visit again.

My husband and I were here two weeks ago and I was so impressed. The food was very good, the feeling and ambience was so relaxed and peaceful. The service was exceptional, the owner came by and personally welcomed us. We want to return. If you are looking for a beautiful, romantic dinner with great service and food, this your place!!

My husband and I met with friends here for dinner and it was amazing. My family is from New Orleans and I have to say that the atmosphere and atmosphere of this restaurant feels like I'm in the Big Easy. We tried the darkened chicken, shrimp pasta, gumbo, roasted green tomatoes, loaded frits, fried alligator, darkened chicken and peach-cobbler and it was all delicious. The owner came to our table and had to know us a bit? good to see an owner in his own facility, which his staff supports. Will be back soon?

Love this place, the music, the food, the ambiance and the chef. I loved that the chef came out and spoke with us. The drinks were great. I am definitely going back.

We just moved to the area and came here for Date Night. Great intimate, cozy atmosphere. All employees were so friendly. The dishes and drinks were phenomenal and very cheap! Loved the large windows with beautiful views of the golf course. Look forward to a return to a live music!
