Contribuiți la feedbackHas the opportunity and location to be the premier destination in Plagne Centre yet it fails so badly. Staff who are totally disinterested and unwelcoming. Visited several times during the week purely because of its location drinks served in plastic glasses, no music, no atmosphere! Sell it on to someone who wants to make a decent go of it!
Below Sub optimal service. After deciding to have a quick drink at this bar restaurant which wasn’t busy outside and finding a table and assumed it was table service waiting for 20 mins before my husband got up and approached one of the waiters only to be told to sit and wait to be served, to then wait another 10mins for our order to be taken while the waiter had a cigarette. Finally having our order taken, 1 beer, 1 hot chocolate, 1 brandy and coke. Only for the order to come 10mins later after the waiter had finished his next cigarette without the brandy, to then sit another 10mins waiting for the brandy, to then approach the waiter and enquire about the brandy to wait another 15 mins, to then approach a waitress enquiring about the brandy to be told it’s on its way to then wait another 10mins for which the brandy still didn’t materialise to then ask for the bill, which was given straight away (the most rapid thing about the service) to be given the wrong bill. All I can say is don’t bother…
Conveniently located in La Plagne Centre this restaurant has a huge outdoor deck and daily 15euro special. I had the boîtes chaude which is small melted cheese pot like a personal fondue, served with a baked potato, cold cuts bread and a salad. My daughter had pasta carbona and my husband has the beef tartare with fries. All dishes were very generous, huge portions and served beautifully. It was all very good, we all enjoyed our food and the service was great. Prices were very reasonable, with those 3 dishes, 2 pops and a glass of wine it came to 66euros... Highly recommended.
Six of us went here for lunch last week and were greeted and had our order taken by a friendly male waiter. When the food arrived, the chips were all overcooked yet cold, the 'chunky vegetable soup ' resembled and tasted no better than dish water, and the 'salad ' was dry, brown, bitter iceberg lettuce. But the food was the least shocking element of our visit. One of our party wished to make a polite complaint about her scallops (sliced entrails served on a pile of said brown lettuce), so our French friend spoke to the friendly male waiter who said he would get the manager. Along came SONIA. Sonia appeared to immediately take umbrage to feedback of any sort and instantly adopted an aggressive manner and flounced away from the table after dismissing the complaint. She then returned and approached a member of our party from behind before getting directly in her face and demanding that she thanked her. We had no idea what she was demanded being thanked for but she continued to repeat this demand with her face no more than a few centimetres away from my friends face. As far as we were aware, the complaint had been made, and whilst Sonia would not uphold the complaint, the matter we believed to be over. Shocked by Sonias aggression, we asked what the matter was and she continued to curse my friend in French. Being one of the non-French speaking of the party, my friend kept saying calmly that she did not understand what was going on. Our French friend then tried to reason with Sonia but she seemed determined to argue both verbally and with her aggressive body language. We asked for the bill as we wished to leave immediately and whilst my partner paid the bill, Sonia continued to try and goad a response from my friend who was sat in disbelief. Needless to say that the whole debacle had attracted the attention of most of the other tables which was embarrassing and so unnecessary. We could not even ask to speak to a more senior manager as Sonia was (we have NO idea how) the manager. She continued to smirk as we left the restaurant and made a point of approaching my friend one last time to sarcastically say to her 'have a lovely afternoon ' before she laughed and waltzed off. All 6 of us genuinely continued to ruminate over our visit for the next few days in desbelief that someone in the hospitality industry, let alone at management level, could find this behaviour acceptable. I would never ever visit this place agan and would strongly recommend others avoid it too. And I think some customer services training should definately be on the menu for Sonia. Worst experience in a restaurant I have ever experienced.
Good moments with friends for the afternoon air service super a friendly team thank you was very well next year
