Karen’s Grounded Cafe - La Pine

This place is fantastic! They offer excellent coffee, tea, pastries, and a complete menu. Just a heads up—they close at 2 PM. The owners are incredibly friendly and even kept the place open an extra hour for us. They previously ran a highly-rated busy restaurant in Bend and decided to come to La Pine for a more relaxed pace. You should definitely check this place out; it’s wonderful!

Making this place a favorite on Google Maps. Just about as friendly a place as I’ve been to and I’ve seen plenty. Burgers are off the menu, replaced by French Dips. Salads, breakfasts and great coffee round out the menu. Why would you choose a chain restaurant when Karen is serving?

The ladies across the street at Homestead Quilts recommended this café for lunch. Great ambience, simple menu, so much better than drive through! If you are quilt hopping, plan on eating here in LaPine!

Karen is a wonderful person, very polite and positive. I have loved the food since she ran the palmers cafe in bend, and will continue to love it no matter where they move.

This is the only place in town that serves hand-pressed burgers, and they are incredibly juicy without being greasy. The food at Karen's Grounded Cafe is fresh and of high quality, so I give it a solid five stars! They also serve excellent coffee. The owners, who have years of experience in the restaurant industry, really know what they’re doing. The menu is simple yet satisfying. Just a heads up, the hours have changed, and as of my last visit, they close at 2 PM.
