Great location! dining area at sea. great service and good food. oscar was very accommodating. we had garnel with garlic sauce for lunch and it was so delicious. the garnels taste like lobster! my man had beer and tequila and I had 2 huge margaritas! I feel comfortable here and can spend hours here and drink look at the ozean. we will come back when we come back to visit again.
We went there for dinner last week. Had the chicken mole and the shrimp enchiladas. Both were very good. Service was good. No Pinot Grigio. Fairly inexpensive.
I dined here after a brisk morning walk on the Malecon. I ordered the Fish Taco and Soup special with coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when my coffee cup was refilled without asking--refills are free! I was also pleased to receive an appetizer of chips...with bean dip, pico de gallo, and salsa. What a way to make an impression. Appetizers in Mexico, though a tradition, are not complementary at other restaurants in the area. The tacos were served with guacamole, tasty cole slaw, pico de gallo, and limes. The Portions are huge! The soup was filled with tomatoes, and zucchini and elbow macaroni in a zesty tomato base. It paired perfectly with the tacos. The owners, Oscar, and his wife, Laura, were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I will happily return to El Zarape Malecon and try breakfast next time!
Hands down the best Margarita I've had on the strip. Service was prompt, friendly and just truly above and beyond my expectations. It's definitely worth the stroll down to that end of the Malecon. Something on the menu for everyone and the food was great....I'll be back again and would 100% recommend to anyone looking to get a buzz going off those margaritas but not into a big party scene. Enjoy fellow traveller's!!!
