Slow service with hardly any customers and the person at the counter said to wait and I have been standing here almost 10 minutes (minus 1 star). There are two female staff who are not the most friendly (minus another star).I wanted to try homemade bagels and ordered the chocolate chip bagel but it didn't have any chocolate chips. There's no wow factor and much less than I expected (minus a third star).I really wanted to like this place.
The bagels are wonderful, the sandwiches are well prepared with quality ingredients and they are delicious. This was our first visit after driving by, I don 't know how many times. The staff were fun and very helpful guiding us to our perfect breakfast or lunch bagel sandwich (I 'm not sure if sandwich is the proper term for something prepared at a bagel cafe). Whatever it is called it was outstanding. We cannot wait to head back and try out the rest of the menu. I had the Maddy but unfortunately, I ate most of it before I remembered to take a picture. Sorry. It really was wonderful.
My boyfriend and I are pretty obsessed with Cassidy 's Corner right now. We 've been coming almost every weekend for a little bit, and we 'll usually bring any house guests we have too! I 'm not a ~bagel connoisseur~ or anything, but these are probably the best bagels I 've had. Definitely the best in the area they 're fresh, soft, and super flavorful. The earlier you come, the fresher they are and that 's when they 're even better. So why not a perfect 5 stars? I love this place but there are some consistency issues. The last two times I came, I barely got any cream cheese on my bagel, and there were two spots that were straight up dry. Their jalapeño cream cheese is so yummy that it 's super addictive, so you really notice when you 're missing some! Today I asked the cashier for just a little bit of extra cream cheese (to ensure I got even cream cheese coverage) and she did not disappoint! I don 't know what would have happened if I wasn 't able to get my fix for a third time in a row! I once saw a guy standing way too close to where they prepare the orders, watching the workers like a HAWK seriously demanding that they evenly put cream cheese on his bagel! It totally wasn 't appropriate, but I 'm telling you, once you have their cream cheese, if you don 't get a good serving of it in the future, it makes you CRAZY! They can also get easily backed up once you get around 3 5 people in line. I think it might be their logistics they do make each order fresh, but something still feels like the system needs some streamlining. But I 'll never know being on the other side and all! Onto my menu recommendations my boyfriend always orders Joe 's Special on an everything bagel, and I usually get the slightly healthier Desi on a sourdough bagel. They 're both super delicious! My bf loves the everything bagel because they really pour on the everything and I love the sourdough because I 'm a sourdough addict. It 's slightly heavier than other bagels, but that 's just the nature of sourdough. I 'll close this review with some other random info about this place: It seems like 7:30am or earlier is the best time to go They have a small kids area, and if the TV 's on, it 'll be playing Avatar: The Last Airbender (don 't worry, it 's the show and not the movie) They have a lot of signs/notices about local events, which is really nice They have a rewards system On Saturday mornings, a group of cyclists will be hanging out in front, which I think is also nice.
Great spot for moms to have a coffee date! Coffee and bagels are both great, I have really loved the service here, and they have a wonderful little play area for kids with a high counter overlooking it so you can watch the kids and chat with a friend. Some of their unique offerings include red velvet bagels (I haven't tried them but I've also never seen them offered elsewhere) and using donuts to make breakfast sandwiches. Ever since I discovered they have salt bagels, I've come here about once every two weeks. It's in the shopping center with the UFC Gym and La Mirada Theater, next to Juice It Up!
