Sunshine Pancake House - La Mesa

Oh yeah! What a find this spot is! Headed over for breakfast after walking Lake Murray and left so happy. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they enjoy their job. We ordered the Sunshine Omelette and added green chilies- so good. They bake them, so they are fluffy and full of flavor. We also ordered the Banana Pancakes- SO GOOD! The fresh orange juice was just that- super fresh and flavorful. Overall- wonderful. There is parking in the back and along the streets. The menu has many options to chose from and the portions are fair. We will definitely be back!

Just moved back to San Diego, Ca and made sure to bring the family back as soon as possible. The Pumpkin Pancakes are the BEST! The homemade whip cream and syrups take the food to a whole other level. I've also had the Oven-Baked Pear Pancake, and was very impressed by the flavor and amount. Easily a 2-3 person shareable dish. Enjoy!

If you love breakfast, you will love this place. You cannot go wrong with anything you order, especially the pancakes. And it's a local business, so that is always a plus.

Late breakfast for me, but I read good reviews about this place and was close by so why not. There weren't a lot of people there maybe 3 families and a couple singles. I think my biggest take away is I could sense the flavor of the food (Bacon eggs hash browns toast and a pancake) but it's lost when the food is cold. Maybe next time I'll get to taste it warmer.

10/10 highly recommend this place! I came here for brunch with my best friend and we shared the cinnamon oven baked pancake it's like French toast and pancakes had a baby it's amazing the service was great we had everything we needed very friendly staff and even brought us complimentary crepes, if your looking for some good comfort breakfast food this is your place! We will definitely be back
