This is my second visit. I was craving chicken picatta and drove by and decided to try theirs. I did notice some inconsistencies (amount of artichoke pieces and sauce). But both times the meal was completely yummy. The garlic bread was very buttery which I love, but not very garlicky. Luckily I"d taken the order to go and just added my own garlic at home and it was perfect. I would go back and do recommend this restaurant.
On our way home from a failed camping trip in east SD, we needed a pick-me-up. After a google for garlic knots off our route, I found Little Roma. And I 'm so glad! Garlic knots were super tasty and good sized. We ordered a half dozen. We settled on the eggplant parmigiana and the gnocchi for our entrees. Both were generous portions and came with two large pieces of garlic bread and a side salad (or soup). Salads were simple with some red onion, tomato, and an oil based vinaigrette on the side. The eggplant came with some spaghetti and the gnocchi was awesome. Definitely a very strong gorgonzola sauce, but we liked it. Last but not least is the tiramisu. SO. GOOD!! Prices were very fair as well. With COVID-19, dining in was not an option, but food was ready when they said it would be and they even offered us seats on their front patio. Staff was super kind and friendly and the operations inside looked very well run with a spot for sanitized/unsanitized pens, notes to help streamline the process for food delivery delivery drivers, etc. We will definitely be coming back!
Our first restaurant outing during quarantine and it couldn't have been better or tastier. Staff were so friendly and were diligent about taking precautions and being clean. The food was unreal and up there on the list of best Hidden Italian spots in San Diego- very tasty and authentic. Can't wait to go back!!
Little Roma is in La Mesa and we live in Santee, but every trip to eat there is a trip well spent. We ordered over the phone and decided to eat in our car (Social Distancing) while the food was still nice and hot. We might have looked silly, but with the food soooo good, I didn't care! I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana and my husband ordered the Little Roma Calzone. We also ordered a Pepperoni pizza and Pasta Primavera for another meal. Everything's been so good. Eggplant Parmigiana is my all time Italian favorite and I wasn't disappointed. It was freshly breaded and served with lots of mozzarella and sauce. Delicious. The Calzone was really good too. We tucked into the Pizza today and as expected, it was delicious. Tonight we'll have the Pasta Primavera. Only wish I'd ordered an extra order of their garlic focaccio!
