The restaurant on the campsite is very decent: good food and prices comparable to other restaurants in the region. We went in August and my main complaint is the noise. Many days there were loud music shows at the restaurant in the evening which meant that sleeping was a challenge! Sometimes the shows would go on until 4am. The Toilets and showers are very clean, but there are not enough showers when the campsite is full. In the evening there were enormous lines for the showers which made having a shower after the beach to go out to dinner virtually impossible! One last thing! Careful! I saw people charging their phones in the toilet area but when I charged mine it was stolen!
This restaurant has the most unlikely location, inside a campsite with a very non stunning entrance (we would never have found it ourselves, the woman who runs our B&B, a local, recommended it) Don't be dissuaded by the strange location, this restaurant serves some of the best food in La Maddalena much better than most of the tourist oriented restaurants in the city center. It also has a beautiful and romantic setting outdoors, with a wood fired pizza oven and a wood fired grill. The Angus Steak is wonderfully flavorful my favorite, and the spaghetti a la Vongole (spaghetti with clams) is excellent. Definitely open June through August.
