Wahine Kai Shave Ice - La Jolla

I absolutely love this place! They use real fruit in their mango smoothies, which is a big plus for me. The Kona coffee is also really strong and delicious. If you order a smoothie, be sure to ask what fresh fruits they have available; it's usually mango or strawberry. I typically go for non-dairy smoothies since I'm lactose intolerant, haha! Another favorite of mine is the hot jasmine green tea with honey—it's the best hot tea I've ever had! Mike, the owner, uses real tea leaves instead of powder, which makes a big difference. If you want extra condensed milk on your shaved ice, you can always ask for more, but I'm trying to resist since it's my weakness, lol!

I absolutely love this place! It has the best ice in the area. You have to try the Maui Wowiee, which features mango, guava, and pineapple topped with condensed milk and Li Hing Mui powder—it's delicious! The tiger blood and lychee flavors are also amazing. Plus, they offer Halo Halo!

One of our favorite spots in the desert! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is fantastic.

The making of the shave ice is from a frozen mold of fresh filtered water, shave it down to create a dome of compacted powder snow before dousing it with some of the most exotic flavors of syrup. In addition, varieties of delicious tea added with boba to create bubble tea also serving. This place is simply the best. Try some, I am pretty sure you won 't regret. People of all ages come to enjoy them.
