NINE-TEN - La Jolla

Not as expected, I found this restaurant from the Michelin Website, but I failed to recognize that this is NOT a Michelin Star Restaurant, not even a 0 star restaurant, this is just a restaurant in a hotel, which is nothing special, the restaurant decor is not upto the mark nor is the size of the restaurant, the photos feel misleading, the ambience is a meh specially for lunch time. This is just an expensive regular restaurant , which charges for reservation cancellation , even though the restaurant is not full to capacity everyday.

This restaurant never disappoints. We had a lovely dinner there at our favorite table and were so happy to return to one of our favorite restaurants in the Village.

Each dish in the 6 course meal was so delicious. The servers were knowledgeable about the dishes and flavors and so when I would mention something about a dish it was fun to hear what they had to say too. I came for a solo meal on my birthday and I felt special. I appreciated their take on things considering I was by myself. Everything was paced well and each dish was unique yet went well, one after another. I had multiple favorite dishes and would go back again just to get them. I also got two delicious mocktails, one on the menu and one they made with blueberries. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience on my birthday!

If you're looking for new eats like duck or lamb done right, or a fine dining experience, NINE-TEN is the perfect place to broaden your horizons. Everything was plated beautifully. The staff were wonderful- so grateful for the recommendations! Will definitely be returning when we visit La Jolla again.

Best restaurant in La Jolla! Allows reservations even on Sundays. Plenty of tables available. Not close together. Consistently great food over several years. Fast service after ordering. Highly trained staff. Very cordial. Not difficult to park close on nearby streets for free. Just slightly beyond and out of reach of the very crowded part of Prospect Ave. Prices are no higher than the long wait line places. Very reasonable.
