El Ranchero Taco Shop - La Jolla

I expected a good dining experience here, but it started off on a disappointing note. The place was empty, and the staff wasn't very welcoming. One of the employees was on the phone and didn’t take our order until a guy came out of the restroom. However, once we were finally served, the food was fantastic! I had the carne asada quesadilla, and it was the best I’ve ever had. The shrimp soup and fish were also delicious, and the chicken tacos were very good as well. On the downside, the selection of soft drinks was limited, and the aguas frescas hadn't even been prepared yet.
