Charming little spot in La Jolla with fantastic food and coffee. Their Soy Chorizo Scramble is absolutely DELICIOUS! Once you try the food, you’ll definitely want to come back!

During our visit to the San Diego area, we decided to spend the morning in La Jolla and were looking for a breakfast spot. After checking Google Maps, we randomly picked the Coffee Cup. Upon arrival on a Sunday morning, we waited for less than five minutes to get a table. We ordered a Mexican mocha, blackberry pancakes, and a Soy Chorizo scramble. Our food arrived after a reasonable wait and was beautifully presented. The taste was simply fabulous! The soy chorizo was expertly seasoned, and the pancakes were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic breakfast and the mocha was excellent as well. The service was friendly and efficient. An added bonus is that they have outdoor seating that welcomes dogs.

Great food! They always have interesting specials, and the food always comes out hot. The coffee drinks are excellent as well.

This place was awesome! Service was tip top; host got us seated right away and introduced our server by name. Got our drinks out right away, let us know what the off menu options were, gave us spot on recommendations when we asked, and food came out quickly. The food was also amazing; the Omar special, juevos rancheros and French toast were all wonderful. Thanks guys!
