You have a good choice of different cookies and other sweets on the display and their best seller is the Napoleon, which is a multi-layered pastry filled with Custard cream and nuts. The rye bread is another favorite and it tastes like an authentic rye bread that you can buy in the Middle East or Europe. There are interior seats for customers who want to enjoy dessert and tea.
True taste of Persian sweets! So fresh and delicious
Balboa Bakery has the best pastries and pizza my favorite being their coffee cake. There is usually a line out the door, but it's well worth the wait.
Love this place! So I stumbled across this place by accident. It's sort of hidden in a plaza. I can't believe how good it was. It's the best baklava I've had. The lady who helped us Maria, was super friendly and nice. Everything she recommended was delicious and I'm not even a fan of desserts to be honest but WoW!!! That's all I have to say. If you are in town you have to go. If you're not in town you should go. It's really that good. The only problem is there is so much to choose from you might go crazy like we did. Cant wait to come back and definitely something to look forward to next time I'm in town. Or maybe drive the 2 hours from L.A.. I love the mom and pop shop and how much they care about their customers and their business. 5 stars for sure.
Absolutely delicious! I only managed to grab a chickpea cookie (not pictured because I devoured it too quickly!) that was topped with pistachio crumbs, and it was fantastic! I was craving something sweet that evening, and this cookie hit the spot perfectly. It wasn't overly sweet, yet it felt indulgent and completely satisfied my sweet tooth. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these treats. I also tried a walnut cookie (on the left), which was delightful—slightly crisp and airy, yet moist like the ends of a macaron. Wow! Additionally, I picked up several varieties of baklava. Although it wasn't ready when I visited, I have no doubt it was just as good! I can't wait to return and try the almond cake with cream. This place is a delightful little gem. Yum!
